Grade 11 Essential Formulae Sheet.  ‘Cheat Sheet‘.  Any course of 100 hours, Math or otherwise, should be capable of being condensed into notes on a single two-sided sheet of paper. The real value of ‘cheat sheet’ study notes is in their production by you; your taking a hundred hours of lessons and condensing them into succinct concepts and examples.

Intro-3  Below are some Study Notes (‘cheat sheets’) that I had done for previous courses.  You are allowed a single sheet of Reference Notes (‘cheat sheet’) for all quizzes, tests, exams.  In fact you are expected to create your own Study Notes

Conversion Factors  (to convert between units of measure, Grade 10))
Geometric Formulae (formulae to calculate Area, Surface Area, Volumes)

Intro-8  Manitoba Distance Learning. Practically every course taught in Manitoba is on-line on ‘Merlin BlackBoard’ ! Even Biology, Chemistry, History, English … Sign-in as a guest.

Intro-9  Math Review Grade 5! This is some really good stuff! Grade 5 stuff is important too, especially if you need a quick review! Don’t be bashful! Check it out. I forgot most my Grade 5 stuff! Select a lesson at bottom left.

Intro-10  Learn Alberta – Math Review Grade 6. There is lots of really important basics in grade5 to 7 that even I like to review. Checkout the site.

Intro-14  Purple Math Index – Table of Contents. A great one-stop source for Grade 9 to 12 Mathematics. BEGINNING Tends to be Grade 9 – 10, INTERMEDIATE tends to be Grade 10 – 11, ADVANCED tends to be Grade 12 for Manitoba curriculum and subject to what stream you are taking (Applied vs Pre-Calculus)

Intro-18 NW Territories Literacy Website. Has lots of adult oriented Literacy and Math stuff:

Simply Math. A great printable textbook and review of Grades 5 to 8.
Home Math Workbook. Household Math: Reading Meters, Paying Bills, banking, etc.  Printable.
Kitchen Math. Math in the kitchen; buying groceries, coupons, kitchen measurements and fractions, etc.
Money Math Workbook. Income, Taxes, Savings, Loans, etc.

Intro-20  KhanAcademy Math Videos. Lots of great videos , so many that you would want to search for the subject you want.

Intro-22  Calculator Practice. Do you know how to use your calculator?  Try these couple exercises! You will be surprised how unfamiliar you are with your calculator.  By Grade 9 you start to use technology to assist your arithmetic.

Intro 23.  Decent Calculator.  Get a decent calculator!  Simple shopping guide for a good math calculator. Movie: A Decent Calculator.  Or download one onto your device.  Desmos Scientific Calculator.  A wonderful free calculator that works in your browser!  Nothing to download!

Intro-24  Algebra Plus Text Book. A good Text Book for Grade 9 and 10 Level of Algebra. Right click and save it! Of course there is more to math than just algebra; there is also Geometry, and Statistics, and Probability, Logic, Combinatorics, and Measurement, etc.

Intro-25  Algebra Refresher Text Book. A great Algebra Resource for all the way up to Grade 11.

Intro-29  History of Math.

BBC Podcasts – A Brief History of Maths. This is truly wonderful. 10 Podcasts. Got 40 minutes to spare? Got an IPod?
Mathematician Biographies.  A great site!  Learn about the history of a mathematician or of a mathematics subject!  Sometimes understanding the lifetimes spent to develop ideas makes math much more exciting.

Intro 30  Thinking of dropping Math? Check out all the career choices you lose if you drop math or just take the ‘easy’ math! Of course you should check with your supports services counsellor if you want the real story!

Intro 32  Virtual Nerd. A wonderful collection of Videos explaining all different types and grade levels of math! In this course you are likely most interested in the Pre-Algebra Section.

Intro- 30.  Multiplication Tables. If you do not know your multiplication tables in Grade 11, mathematics will be absolutely brutal if not impossible.  Follow the link to the Prior Studies page, lots of Multiplication Tables resources.
