    •   ** Final Exam Thursday 23 March  (put in your calendar!)
Today’s Lesson(s)
  • Warmup.
  • Quiz Debrief.  OMG took me 3.5 hours this morning to mark all 24!  Next quiz will be multiple choice!!  Class Quiz Statisticss: n= 24 sample size.  Mean (average) was 69% with +/- σ = 22%.  Median was 64%.  Really awesome crew!  (we will learn all these statsitics soon)  Check the Histogram.  I know the quiz was challenge (?), but the stats show it was just right for difficulty!  An average of 70% for the class is generally a teacher’s target.
  • Personal Finance Workbook:  Work in Personal Finance Workbook
    • Let’s do 1-4, 1-6, 1-11, 2-3, 2-5, + ….
    • Have you noticed our Personal Finance Webpage has a couple more workbooks too!
    • Lesson Support Videos Playlist:  TVM and Investments.  Notice I used a slightly different TVM App in these videos
  • Have you noticed the browser FnCalculator TVM App looks a bit different than the download App version.  A couple different features to explore later.

Useful Resources:

  • TVM Calculator.  Notice we use the FnCalculator  TVM (Time & Value of Money) App. It is available in browser, or as a download on Google Play or Apple Store.
  • Feeling Brave?.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel.  Get Videos hot of the press at 5 am!
  • Quiz Debriefs Playlist.  I assemble all quiz debriefs into one YouTube Playlist; pretty much the entire course in 7 or 8 Videos eventually.
  • Times Tables.  Nail down the times tables soon!  Math is so much more enjoyable if you can do some of it without continually reaching for a calculator.  Tons of Times Tables Activities here:  Times Tables Resources.  Just do it!
  • Website Search Feature.  Notice the website and blogs are searchable at the bottom of each page.
  • Grade 12 Applied InventoryAre you ready for Applied Math?  Check out a selection of the skills with which you should already be rather familiar to readily succeed:
  • We will be using the DESMOS Graphing tool a lot soon.  Get comfortable with it now.   Also available for down load in Google play and Apple Store.
  • Ensure you have a Decent Calculator.  Link:  Decent Calculator.  A proper $16 Scientific Calculator from WALMART (NOT Staples) is way more useful than your phone or a Dollarama calculator.
  • Grade 12 Applied Study Notes [‘Cheat Sheet’; Issued].  Students are expected to prepare their own eventually.
  • Our Shared Daily Lessons File.  Every Daily Lesson that is done on the interactive whiteboard!
  • Remote Learning/COVID Protocol. In the event students are stuck at home for a Brief period they are still expected to do the daily lessons and studies and submit work.  See the related Remote and COVID Protocol and Student Policies and Procedures.
