10 NOV GRADE 11 ESSENTIALS MATH

10 NOV 2022  GRADE 11 ESSENTIAL. Word of the Day: Compound Interest

  • Please do the Term 2 Welcome Survey from Yesterday (in lieu of quiz)
  • No Classes tomorrow!  Remembrance Day

Should you be here in Grade 11?  There is a concern for all the students that seemed to have by-passed the Grade 10 pre-requisite for the Grade 11.  Check out this:

    • Grade 11 Inventory.  These questions should be rather familiar
    • Are You Ready for Grade 11 Movie  (*watch this for sure!)
    • If much of this looks unfamiliar then you are likely on the wrong course and should be in Grade 10.
    • Not too late to transfer to the morning class, I have only one student in the AM, you will still graduate with a Grade 12 Math Credit the final term.
    • Debriefing the Grade 10 Final Exam at 15:00 so Term 1 Grade 10s  can see how well (or less well) you did on the Final Exam.  Some Grade 11’s might be interested too the stuff they missed!  CANCEL!  Early Dismissal Today!  SO Monday 15:00 for Debrief.
Today(s) Lessons

Useful Resources
  • Me.  End of the Day!
  • My Grade 11 Reference Notes (Cheat Sheet).  You are expected to make your own, slowly compile it for Final Exam
  • Daily Lessons in Shared Folder.  Every lesson we have done on the whiteboard board.  Also printed at front of class
  • Decent Calculator.  You likely noticed that you need a decent calculator!  The one on your phone or a Dollarama one is not sufficient.  Hunt around the family, get a decent one at Walmart for $18 – $20.  Check out the Decent Video Movie.
  • Nail down Times Tables.  You will have noticed lots of our stuff can be done quickly without even using a calculator, just mentally in your head even!  Times Tables resources.
