This course is more accurately called Grade 10 Mathematics Preparation for Applied and Pre-Calculus Mathematics. The Grade 10 Math is only available in the Essential and the Combination Applied/Pre-Calculus. At the Grade 10 Level the course is common for the follow-on Applied or Pre–Calculus Streams. Grade 10 Applied (and Pre-Calculus) is actually more fun and prepares you much better for technical and professional employment. A fairly solid Grade 9 Foundation Math (Manitoba 10F) is highly desirable. Here is the Math 20S Introduction to Applied and Pre-Calculus Manitoba Curriculum for the Course.
Check out ie: ‘skip through’ my 20 minute movie on the difference between the Essential, Applied, and Pre-Calculus Streams: Manitoba Math Streams. from Grades 10 to 12. Of course you will get 360 hours of class time to do all the fancy Applied stuff in that movie!
