The quiz went rather well. The mean mark was 68.6% so I am doing my job. I returned the quiz. I re-issued progress reports so you could see which assignments were [over]due. Marks go to the office on Wednesday.
Still lots of problems with converting between units of measures!! Not surprising (and frustrating) since most students are still not showing their units when they do a conversion. The method to model is shown on your conversion factors sheet! In your notes, in your assignments. Measurements are useless if they do not include the units of measure. I know this problem persists all the way to Grade 12 for a few. Show Your Units.
You were issued assignments DELTA-7 (Area of Triangles) and DELTA-8 (Area of Circles) to try to get us caught up in our learning.
I sanitized the room after a minor event. However, now more than ever, it is so very important to keep healthy; get proper sleep, proper nutrition, comply with the guidelines to protect yourself, your family, and your class mates. Some form of breakfast, other than an energy drink, is rather important too.
Calendar. Note from our calendar on the Bulletin board that there are no classes 22 and 23 October, teachers have PD. And Final Math Exam is Thursday 5 November (in the morning!)
See you Monday!
